Business Wire, Oct 3, 1996
IRVING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--October 3, 1996--Integrated Security Systems, Inc. (ISSI) (Nasdaq SmallCap Market: IZZI (Common Shares); IZZIW (Warrants)) today announced that Tri-Coastal Systems, Inc. ("TCSI"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of ISSI, recently received three major contract orders aggregating over $1 million. TCSI is a provider of electronic security and life safety systems and products, marketing its design, installation, and maintenance services through direct sales to commercial, governmental, and industrial customers.
Of the three contracts, one was received for a project for the United States Postal Service ("USPS") totaling over $525,000. TCSI will act as the general contractor for the project and will provide access control, closed circuit television (CCTV) surveillance and various perimeter security improvements in addition to other site and building security upgrades. Completion of this project is expected to be approximately 180 days from its commencement.
The two remaining projects, with a combined value in excess of $575,000, are to provide, install and service a combination of electronic security products including CCTV, door control, intrusion, and intercom systems for two state youth facilities in Texas. Completion of these projects is expected to extend into 1997. TCSI has already completed similar projects at other Texas youth facilities, with these orders representing the fourth and fifth contracts received for three different sites.
"These orders are significant not only due to their relative size, but also because their award demonstrates TCSI's ability to compete on projects for new clients as well as to generate additional new business from existing clients," said H.E. McGuffee, Vice President and General Manager of TCSI.
Headquartered in Irving, Texas, ISSI is a developer, manufacturer and national supplier of total security solutions for the industrial and commercial marketplace. ISSI is also a leading supplier of automatic gates and lane changers to the US road and bridge industry. ISSI conducts its manufacturing, distribution and systems integration activities as a holding company through three wholly-owned subsidiaries, B&B Electromatic, Inc., Innovative Security Technologies, Inc. and Tri-Coastal Systems, Inc.
