Treasury International Inc. secures exclusive distribution rights for HIV & herpes treatment

TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 3, 1996--Treasury International Inc. (OTC BB:TREY) announced Thursday that it has signed distribution agreements with Phylomed Corp., a bio-pharmaceutical company located in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

The agreements grant Treasury International the exclusive rights to distribute the proprietary HIV & Herpes Peptide in Brazil for therapeutic, anti-viral treatment of Aids & Herpes and as an anti-Tumor agent. Treasury International Inc. also has the right of first refusal for exclusive distribution of the Peptide in Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, North Africa and Canada, amongst other countries. Treasury International also acquired the exclusive rights from Phylomed to distribute a proprietary line of antiseptic and skin care products in Canada and Brazil.

Phylomed, founded in 1983, has clean room and production facilities in the Grand Bahamas and has recently been approved to commence clinical trials on patients having chronic progressive Multiple Sclerosis.

Phylomed has been conducting clinical trials at the University of Santiago, Chile since 1991 under the supervision of Dr. Fernando Vargas. Patients suffering from metastasized prosthetic tumors who were treated showed dramatic reduction in tumor metastasis. These clinical trials have also shown promise in patients suffering from a range of herpetic viral infections.
