Modine's corporate headquarters recommended for ISO 9002 registration

RACINE, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 8, 1996--Modine Manufacturing Company's corporate headquarters here at 1500 DeKoven Avenue has been registered as an ISO 9002 manufacturer by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance Ltd., (LRQA). The recommendation means that Modine's corporate headquarters has demonstrated that its quality system meets the requirements set forth by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for production, installation, and service of products. Modine's registration applies to the quality management system for management, sales, procurement, customer service, testing, and other technical support for production of heat-exchangers and heat-exchange systems for the worldwide automotive, engine, agriculture, construction, truck and other original-equipment manufacturing (OEM) markets.

"ISO 9002 is a worldwide standard, recognized in nations where Modine does business as an indicator of world-class quality systems," said John Kmosena, Modine's corporate quality manager. "It's very important that our corporate headquarters in Racine meets the requirements of the ISO standards. Racine is the fourth Modine location to be ISO-registered. Plants in Logansport, Indiana and Geneva, Spain are registered to ISO 9002 and Modine's subsidiary in The Netherlands, NRF, has been registered to ISO 9001.

Modine's administrative offices and most of its technical support functions are located at Racine, where nearly 10 percent of its 7,713 employees work.
