C E C Golf announces purchase of country club

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 9, 1996--C E C Golf, a division of C E C Properties Inc. (BB:CECI), on Wednesday announced that on Oct. 7, 1996, Kansas Golf Ventures accepted a Letter of Intent from C E C Properties to purchase the Terradyne Country Club and Resort in Wichita, Kan., for an undisclosed price.
The purchase will include the 140-acre, 18-hole golf course and country club, and the luxury, 42-room resort. The golf course offers the golfer the experience of the "Scottish golf links" and is rated by Golf Digest as one of the five top courses in Kansas.
The resort includes everything from luxury suites to club rooms with shared living quarters for families. Also included is a restaurant, banquet hall, conference rooms, exercise room, a swimming pool and many more amenities.
As previously announced, C E C Golf will start construction of Camarillo Creek, a new course in Ventura County, Calif., early in 1997.
