"We're benefiting from the growing perception among companies in the Southeast and elsewhere that they don't have to go to Wall Street to get quality research and strong institutional and retail sales support for their issues," James H. Graves, Partner and Co-Managing Director of J.C. Bradford's Corporate Finance Group, explained.
"For example, in the late-June through July period, marked by the toughest market conditions we've experienced in over five years, we successfully lead managed over $100 million in equity offerings for companies in Kentucky, Florida and Tennessee," added Breck Walker, Partner and Co-Managing Director of J.C. Bradford's Corporate Finance Group. "It's this kind of consistent performance, in good markets and in bad, that has convinced many issuers to forgo relationships with many Street-name underwriters in favor of local firms who can do the job as well, if not better, than they."
