Business Wire, Sept 16, 1996
SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 16, 1996--Puma Technology, the leading producer of mobile data exchange and content aware synchronization software solutions, announced today support of the Microsoft(R) Windows(R) CE platform for handheld PCs. This platform is an open standard, Windows platform for PC-synchronized consumer electronics devices. Modeled after Windows 95, Windows CE will be the first handheld computing platform to integrate Windows-related technologies from various software developers and hardware manufacturers. The large installed base of mobile computer workers using Windows-based personal computers will soon have an array of CE-enabled handheld devices from which to choose.

"There is an emerging demand for handheld devices in a Windows-based environment and the creation of our Windows CE-compatible products will further simplify the use of handheld PCs by mobile computer users."
