NetCarta WebMapper 1.1 for UNIX is the first tool to provide comprehensive content management, analysis, and reporting capabilities on UNIX servers, the dominant platform for corporate Web sites. With its support for UNIX as well as Windows 95 and Windows NT, NetCarta WebMapper gives Webmasters the unique ability to manage Web content and structure across multiple platforms.

NetCarta WebMapper 1.1 provides a flexible solution for managing and tracking information on a dynamic Web site. The program creates a NetCarta WebMap of a Web site, a catalog of all the resources in the site, that is used as the foundation for the analysis it performs.

From the map, NetCarta WebMapper generates HTML-formatted reports that detail site properties such as the basic structure and content of the site, the size of the site (the number of pages, graphics, audio files, and so on), and the links to and from the site's resources, including broken, duplicate, or obsolete links. Additionally, when users compare two maps of a site, the comparison reports specify which objects have been added, changed, or orphaned.
