District Court of Utah rules in favor of Aaron Medical Industries and against Megadyne Medical Products involving "Electrosurgical Blade Patent Infringement"
Business Wire, Sept 16, 1996
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--(HealthWire)--Sept. 16, 1996--Aaron Medical Industries Inc. (AMI) today announced that after a hearing, on August 27, 1996 the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah denied the motion of Megadyne Medical Products Inc.
The plantiff, MMP, filed the action against Aaron claiming that Aaron infringed on Megadyne's patent involving Aaron's coated electrosurgical blade (Resistick(R)) and sought to enjoin Aaron from manufacturing and selling the product.
In so ruling the District Court stated..."The court finds the evidence presented with regard to the Aaron blade is equivocal and insufficient to support a dinding that plantiff is likely to succeed on its claims."
