Business Wire corrects and replaces announcement made on Monday, Sept. 16 by Aaron Medical Industries
Business Wire, Sept 17, 1996
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--(HealthWire)--Sept. 17, 1996--Aaron Medical Industries Inc. (AMI) today announced that after a hearing, on August 27, 1996 the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah denied the motion of Megadyne Medical Products Inc. ("MMP") for a preliminary injunction against Aaron Medical Industries Inc.
The plaintiff, MMP, filed the action against Aaron claiming that Aaron infringed on Megadyne's patent involving Aaron's coated electrosurgical blade (Resistick(R)) and sought to enjoin Aaron from manufacturing and selling the product.
In so ruling the District Court stated..."The court finds the evidence presented with regard to the Aaron blade is equivocal and insufficient to support a finding that plaintiff is likely to succeed on its claims."
Source: Aaron Medical Industries is a wholly-owned subsidiary of An-Con Genetics, Inc. (OTC BB:AGNT) and is engaged in the manufacturing and marketing of a diverse line of premium medical devices.
