LifeSoft Corp. adds federal agencies to customer list
Business Wire, Sept 20, 1996
BINGHAM FARMS, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 20, 1996--LifeSoft Corp. has been added to the Federal General Services Administration (GSA) program.
LifeSoft is now an accredited supplier of software products to all federal agencies and departments.
The GSA reviews potential suppliers to any federal agency prior to the accreditation. The review process requires companies to present information about themselves, including corporate development, financial resources and references.
"The GSA accreditation is basically the federal government's stamp of approval," said Peter Christiano, president and CEO of LifeSoft. "This represents a significant step in our growth. We've been examined top to bottom and passed muster, we're very pleased."
LifeSoft will distribute its point-of-sale products, including Winpoint 2.0, Pinpoint and System 3, through Comark Government and Education Sales (CGES), one of the nation's largest federal suppliers. Winpoint, Pinpoint and System 3 are already being tested by several agencies and representatives are optimistic several orders will be placed for this fall.
LifeSoft is based in Bingham Farms, and provides software solutions for a variety of clients. It is on Microsoft's directory of Software Solution Providers for retailers.
