Montgomery Securities Resumes Coverage of Protection One, Inc. with a BUY Rating

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 23, 1996--Montgomery Securities Analyst Carl Reichardt has resumed coverage of Protection One, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALRM) with a BUY rating.
Reichardt's earnings estimates are ($1.38) per share in Fiscal Year (September) 1996 and ($1.29) per share in Fiscal Year 1997. His 12-month target price is $18, or approximately 34% above current levels.
Protection One, Inc. is the largest residential alarm monitoring company in the six western states in which it operates. The company offers a variety of optional services designed to enhance the basic alarm system, including extended service protection, two-way voice, wireless back-up and pager service.
Reichardt believes Protection One's acquisition pace, ongoing dealer recruitment and partnering with telecommunications and utility companies will result in a rapid increase in subscriber accounts and will allow the company to achieve dominant market share in an increasing number of markets.
