ICVERIFY Launches Retail Distribution at OfficeMax and MicroCenter; ICVERIFY Solution Recognized by Retail Distribution Chains in the Explosive Growth of Credit Card Usage among Small Business Owners

OAKLAND, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 30, 1996--American Bankers Association Booth No. 201/203 -- ICVERIFY, Inc. announced today it will sell its PC-based credit/debit card authorization and check guarantee software, ICVERIFY, through large retail chains, including OfficeMax(R) and MicroCenter(R) stores.
ICVERIFY is a complete software solution, enabling a merchant's PC-based Point-Of-Sale (POS) or computer system to quickly perform credit card authorization/draft capture, check guarantee and ATM/debit card authorization. ICVERIFY allows up to nine years of transaction storage and tracking plus comprehensive, built-in reporting on PC-based POS or computer systems.
According to Andrea Skov, vice president, marketing and communications at ICVERIFY, Inc., "ICVERIFY'S move to distribute our products through retail chains signifies a distinct shift in the way small offices and home offices (SOHO) view Point-Of-Sale transactions. The SOHO market is searching for increased efficiency and reduced expenses in their payment processing and ICVERIFY offers both in an easy-to-use solution."
The OfficeMax retail chain has over 500 stores in 43 states, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. OfficeMax's primary target market is the small and medium-sized business employing 1-100, and the home office market.
MicroCenter is an Iowa-based retail chain with 13 stores throughout the mid-West. MicroCenter specializes in the small to medium-sized business market.
