Micron Technology, Inc., Announces Restructuring Of Board Of Directors

BOISE, Idaho--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 30, 1996--Micron Technology, Inc., today announced a restructuring of its Board of Directors. The Company announced that Ed Heitzeberg, Tyler Lowrey, and Bill Stover have resigned as Directors. The Board intends to evaluate adding additional independent Directors who can bring added outside industry expertise and experience to the Company.
"These changes will provide for a more independent Board and will give the Directors an opportunity to evaluate additional members who will bring new strength to our Board," said Steve Appleton, Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Micron Technology, Inc.
Stover will continue to serve in his existing capacity as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Finance, and Heitzeberg will remain as Vice President, Design, Product Engineering and Quality Assurance. The Company announced that Lowrey will no longer serve as Chief Operations Officer of the Company. Lowrey will focus his efforts on research and development of advanced technology for future product generations.
Micron Technology, Inc., and its subsidiaries manufacture and market DRAMs, very fast SRAMs, FLASH, other semiconductor components, remote intelligent communications (RIC) products, complex printed circuit board assemblies, and personal computer systems.
