MCI GOES "BACK TO SCHOOL" WITH UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES THROUGHOUT THE U.S

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 4, 1996--As university and college students, faculty and staff head back to campus, many of them will now have access to new university technological resources that make life easier -- and more fun.

Since August 1, 1996, MCI has installed 28 new campusMCI contracts. MCI now has more than 325 relationships with universities and colleges throughout the U.S.

Introduced in the summer of 1994, campusMCI services are designed to provide educational institutions with high-quality, cost-efficient telecommunications and business services while providing the technological tools that students, faculty and staff require.

reliable network, technical support, advance billing and

e-mail, campusMCI Internet provides universities and their

communities with superior Internet access at an affordable

price.

-- campusMCI Card - A multi-purpose, multi-function card that

includes long distance telephone services, streamlining

nearly every campus activity and function involving the

exchange of money. The card also serves as a student ID

and can provide entry into dorms and other campus

facilities.

-- campusMCI Masters - A telecommunications services tool for

students and administrators that provides universities

with the opportunity to generate revenue for additional

student services and, at the same time, accommodate a

growing, older and more independent student body.
