AirTouch Announces Record Date for Third Quarter Dividends on Convertible Preferred Stock

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 5, 1996--The AirTouch Communications (NYSE:ATI) Board of Directors has declared September 30, 1996, as the record date for the third quarter dividends on its 6.00% Class B Mandatorily Convertible Preferred Stock, Series 1996 and its 4.25% Class C Convertible Preferred Stock, Series 1996.
The third quarter dividends on both preferred securities will be prorated for the partial dividend period starting August 16, 1996, the date the preferred securities were issued, and ending September 30, 1996, and are computed on the basis of a 360-day year of 12 30-day months.
The dividend on the 6.00% Class B Preferred Stock will be $0.21750 per share, which has been prorated from a full quarterly dividend of $0.43500 per share, and the dividend on the 4.25% Class C Preferred Stock will be $0.26563 per share, which has been prorated from a full quarterly dividend of $0.53125 per share. The payment date for both dividends is November 15, 1996.
The 6.00% Class B Preferred Stock, and the 4.25% Class C Preferred Stock were issued to stockholders of Cellular Communications, Inc. (CCI) in connection with AirTouch's acquisition of CCI, which became effective on August 16, 1996.
