LANGHORNE, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 5, 1996--ICT Group Inc., an independent provider of call center teleservices (NASDAQ:ICTG), recently increased its position from 60% majority ownership to sole ownership of Eurotel Marketing Ltd., a Pan-European, multilingual call center operation located in Dublin, Ireland.

Eurotel was originally formed in October 1994 as a joint venture between ICT Group and R.R. Donnelley (RRD) Global Software Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co.

Eurotel provides multilingual, Pan-European call center teleservices for companies doing business with or located in Europe.

Structured to serve U.S. and European-based multinational clients across all major industries, it provides sales distribution channels for large multinational firms as well as an expansion path for smaller U.S.-based firms seeking sales and distribution of their products and services into Europe.

Drawing upon the technological and marketing expertise of ICT Group, Eurotel has the experience and know-how to provide inbound and outbound marketing, information research and call center management services for both business-to-business and business-to-consumer applications.

Equipped with 80 workstations, 16 of which utilize predictive dialing, this facility has conducted programs in almost 50 languages, spanning more than 14 countries throughout Western and Eastern Europe, as well as the Middle East and South Africa.

Knowledgeable professionals and highly trained multilingual telephone representatives are supported by state-of-the-art IBM RS/6000 computer systems using ICT Group's proprietary CTMS software and AT&T's Definity G3i ACD call distribution system for routing and queuing telephone calls to the appropriate language-skilled operators.

Dedicated communications services, utilizing Republic RLX Voice Compression Multiplexers, are available to transmit data efficiently between North America and Europe.

John Brennan, president and chief executive officer of ICT Group, said, "The acquisition of Eurotel is part of an overall strategy to build ICT Group's international presence, further strengthening the company's market position as a multinational call center teleservices provider.

"Assuming sole ownership of this business unit is both exciting and challenging, providing us with the opportunity to more effectively manage and control our international operations."

ICT Group employs more than 275 professionals in management, sales, systems and operations and approximately 2,650 telephone sales and service representatives and research interviewers. The company manages 24 telephone marketing call centers in nine states, Europe and Canada, from which it supports outbound as well as 800 inbound calling for domestic and multinational corporations and institutions.

ICT Group has expanded beyond its traditional markets of insurance, financial services, publishing and telecommunications to include the pharmaceutical, health care services and computer software and hardware industries, which are emerging as areas of rapid growth in the use and outsourcing of call center teleservices.

In addition to its corporate staff, ICT Group's sales and marketing divisions of ICT Direct and ICT Response as well as its market research division, ICT Research Services, are headquartered in Langhorne.
