Victor Cohn joins Bear Stearns as head of Equity Capital Markets

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 6, 1996--Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. announced today that Victor Cohn has joined the firm as a senior managing director and head of Equity Capital Markets.
Mr. Cohn comes to Bear Stearns from UBS Securities where he was a managing director, co-head of Investment Banking and head of that firm's Capital Markets Division. He was also a member of UBS's Management Committee. Previously he was with Salomon Brothers from 1978 to 1992, where he was a managing director and head of Global Equity Capital Markets and Syndicate. He was also a member of that firm's Equity Management Committee. Mr. Cohn holds a BS in finance from The Pennsylvania State University.
In a joint statement, Alan Schwartz, head of Investment Banking, and Bruce Lisman, head of Institutional Equities, said, "Victor brings tremendous talent and experience to our equity capital markets effort.
