Fujitsu expands No Excuses service with extensive scanner support program; ScanCare delivers preventive maintenance to production scanner users
Business Wire, April 14, 1997
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 14, 1997--Fujitsu Computer Products of America today broadened its industry-leading No Excuses(SM) program by announcing ScanCare, the industry's first factory-authorized scanner preventive maintenance program.
The program includes scheduled on-site service visits, planned shipments of scanner consumables and extensive user training.
ScanCare will first be offered on Fujitsu's flagship M3099 production-level scanners beginning May 15. The new program further augments the company's unique No Excuses program, which includes a two-business-day replacement warranty on many of the company's products. A warranty extension version of ScanCare -- called ScanCare Plus -- is also available for M3099s currently beyond the initial warranty period.
"Fujitsu's proactive approach to scanner maintenance virtually eliminates downtime and the associated productivity loss," said John Henrotin, director of customer care at Fujitsu Computer Products. "Our customers asked for a program like ScanCare and we're delivering."
Access Corporation's On-Site Support
Training and preventive maintenance visits for ScanCare and ScanCare Plus will be performed by Fujitsu's factory-authorized service provider, Access Corp. Access has a 30-year history of successful product support and maintains a nationwide network of field service engineering resources.
