VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 2, 1997-- Brandon Gold Corpora(VSE BG.) Brandon Gold Corporation (BG.V) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Enrique Miranda-Paz to the Board of Directors effective immediately.

Mr. Miranda-Paz has been involved in the mining industry for over 20 years and is currently Chairman and President of Miranda Mining Development Corporation; a private Mexican mining company with operations and extensive land holdings in the country.

Brandon Gold is currently in the midst of an exploration program on its El Caracol property in Guerrero State Mexico. El Caracol adjoins the southern border of Farallon's Campo Morado project on which Farallon has drilled over 21,000 meters and is delineating a large scale gold-rich massive sulphide deposit.

Presently at El Caracol, an extensive stream sediment sampling program is under way and improvements to the infrastructure of the property are set to begin in the next 2 to 3 weeks.
