QSound Lab's 2130 QXpander(TM) Chip to be Incorported in New Motherboards From Leading Taiwanese Manufacturer
QSound Labs, Inc. (NASDAQ: QSNDF) today announced that ASUSTeK Computer, Inc., a leading developer and manufacturer of high-end mainboard and add-on cards, is making a new line of motherboards that include QSound Labs' 2130 QXpander chip, ASUSTeK's new TX97-XE and TX97-X motherboards, introduced at the recently held CeBit Show in Germany, can be integrated in a full range of Intel Pentium (R) Processor-based computers from P75's through P200's. Incorporating the QXpander chip directly into the motherboard provides 3D audio capabilities without the need for an additional sound-card in the computer.
The 2130 QXpander IC incorporates QSound Labs' patented stereo soundfield expansion algorithm. The chip was designed to produce dramatically widened stereo imaging and enhanced realism. QXpander which enhances any existing stereo recorded material, is just one member of QSound Labs' proprietary technology suite.
