Business Wire, April 24, 1997

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 24, 1997--Future Industrial Technologies (F.I.T.), leaders in injury prevention training, whose clients include Boeing, United Airlines, Chyrsler, Citibank, schools, hospitals and government agencies announced that after four years of research, development and successful application, now has a certified national network of Injury Prevention Consultants.

Operating in more than 40 states and in Canada, F.I.T. has more than 1,000 Facilitators that provide on-site customized injury prevention training.

Each training class is customized for the employees based on their specific job tasks. The F.I.T. obstacle course-based training modules are designed to teach people how to perform their daily tasks biomechanically correct. This includes how to lift, bend, carry, keyboard and more. This could be the first time in their lives that they have learned how to move correctly, without strain or injury.

The results have been spectacular. Boeing experienced a 41 percent reduction in back injuries; Chrysler a 56 percent reduction; LA County Office of Education a 37 percent reduction in Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

F.I.T. is delighted to announce the release of a new program that augments their existing BACKSAFE program -- SITTINGSAFE. SITTINGSAFE addresses workers that operate computers or that have sedentary jobs and are susceptible to possible repetitive stress injuries such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Based on its network of more than 1,000 Facilitators, F.I.T. can service clients with offices all over North America, as well as small companies with single locations.

Companies concerned with Cumulative Trauma Disorders such as back related injuries or Carpal Tunnel should call F.I.T. at 800/775-2225 for further information and a consultation to address their specific needs.
