Attachmate showcases distributed network computing solutions at TechEd 97

BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 28, 1997--Attachmate(R) Corporation today announced its official sponsorship of Microsoft(R) TechEd 97. TechEd is the premier event during the year at which developers and other technical people in the industry have an opportunity to get in-depth training from Microsoft and TechEd's sponsors on their strategic platforms and technologies. TechEd 97 will be held May 5-9, in Orlando, Florida.

HostView Server allows host sessions to be deployed to the desktop as either Java(TM) applets or ActiveX(TM) Controls. EXTRA! Host Publishing System provides developers a robust and secure method of publishing custom network centric applications to an end user through a browser. EXTRA! Host Publishing System also offers HostSurfer(TM), an out of the box HTML-on-the-fly solution to publish host screens to a browser right out of the box.

Availability

EXTRA! HostView Server with Java applets and ActiveX Controls will be available to evaluators by mid-June, 1997. The EXTRA! Objects Software Development Kit (SDK) is currently available. EXTRA! Host Publishing System v2.1 will be available for customer shipments in mid-May, 1997.
