Chadmoore Wireless Group, Inc. adds four additional cities to its operations

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 7, 1997--

Chadmoore Wireless Group, Inc. (NASDAQ/BB: MOOR), a provider of Specialized Mobile Radio (SMR) wireless communications services, announced today that it is commercially operational in four additional cities, bringing the total number of markets in which it operates to eight.
The four additional cities included: Richmond, VA, Lewiston, ME, Portland, ME and Baton Rouge, LA which serve a combined total population of 1.74 million.
Chadmoore said it intends to have between thirty and forty cities operational in its proposed operational footprint by year end 1997. Additionally, Chadmoore has placed orders for twenty Smartnet II systems from Motorola for use in its initial operational buildout.
Jan Zwaik, Chief Operations Officer for Chadmoore, said, "We are now witnessing a strong desire on the part of SMR dealers in our markets across the country to partner with Chadmoore to provide customers with a reliable and cost-effective solution to their communication needs. As we move into these new markets, this should translate into an aggressive loading of our channels and increased revenues."
Chadmoore Wireless Group, Inc. is engaged in the business of wireless communications utilizing 800 MHz SMR frequencies throughout the Midwest and Southeastern United States. SMR, one of the fastest growing types of wireless communications in the U.S., currently services over two million radio users, with total industry sales of over $200 million and annual service revenues over $500 million. Chadmoore now manages over 7,000 SMR frequencies serving a population in excess of 50 million. The company operates SMR systems in eight markets with annualized gross revenues in excess of $2 million.
