Ultrexx Corporation enters Strategic Business Development Alliance with Cognizant Technology Solutions

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 8, 1997--CRUX, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Ultrexx Corporation, (symbol `ULTX' on NASD bulletin board) announced today that it has formally entered a Strategic Business Development Alliance with Cognizant Technology Solutions, Inc. (CTS).
CTS (formerly known as Dun & Bradstreet Satyam Software) is part of the Cognizant Corporation (formerly known as Dun & Bradstreet).
Other principal operating units of the Cognizant Corporation (NYSE symbol "CZT") include IMS, the foremost global supplier of information solutions for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries; Nielsen Media Research, the leader in audience measurement for electronic media; and Gartner Group, the premier provider of research and advisory services to the information technology industry.
CTS provides full-service computer software solutions to a variety of clients, including the principal operating units of the Cognizant Corporation and several other clients including Pilot Software, Equifax and Dun & Bradstreet Corporation. In addition, CTS is one of the leading providers of Year 2000 solutions to various large international clients. Its other services include application development, application maintenance, application re-engineering, tool-based solutions and technology services. Other strategic business alliance partners of CTS include the Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC Consulting, the world's second largest consulting company), Solomon Software, and Dialog Info Tech Group (Australia).
Under this agreement, both parties have agreed to jointly pursue project development, marketing and sales activities in selected market sectors by sharing client/customer lists, the marketing of each other's products in accordance with specific Value Added Reseller Agreements, and the representation of each other's services as part of a total solutions capability.
CRUX and CTS will work to jointly develop selected products in specific market sectors using Cruxpert(TM), Version 1.4, to jointly design and maintain web sites for selected clients, and to collaborate in selected contractual assignments by utilizing the in-house resources of both groups in the US and India. Cruxpert, Version 1.4, a Rapid Application Expert System Development Tool deployed on the Internet, is the flagship product of CRUX, Inc.
