Business Wire, August 15, 1997
DANVILLE, Calif.,--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 15, 1997--Casahl Technology, Inc., the leader in data integration software for Lotus Notes, announces the release of Replic-Action for Microsoft Exchange.
Replic-Action has long been the most advanced and industry-leader in groupware integration products for Lotus Notes and includes over 30 percent of Fortune 500 companies among its customers.
Replic-Action for Microsoft Exchange enables companies to extend beyond Exchange e-mail into the enterprise by integrating corporate data and triggering workflow processes within the Exchange environment. Customers have used Replic-Action to provide up-to-date product and sales information to distributed sales teams, and to synchronize with customer information residing in back-end Accounting databases.
Over 35 major databases are supported. Customers are also using Replic-Action to migrate from Lotus Notes and to synchronize between Notes and Exchange where coexistence is required.
"The arrival of proven products such as Replic-Action for Microsoft Exchange Server allows customers to create hybrid collaboration applications that include information from relational databases," says Dave Malcolm, Group Product Manager for Microsoft Exchange.
"Companies need to be able to include their corporate data in their collaborative processes. Casahl's Replic-Action provides a robust solution for synchronizing corporate data whether it is stored in Microsoft Exchange or a relational SQL Server database."
Casahl's Replic-Action for Microsoft Exchange includes three major components: Replic-Action Composer, Replic-Action Server, and Replic-Action Server Manager. Replic-Action Composer is a GUI tool where users can visually create Replic-Action applications simply by following a user-friendly wizard -- without programming.
Replic-Action Server is a Windows NT service that runs Composer applications on an ad-hoc or scheduled basis. Replic-Action Server Manager enables administrators to monitor and configure multiple Replic-Action Servers. Replic-Action provides an extensive set of workflow triggers and data transformation options for use during data movement.
Replic-Action for Microsoft Exchange is BackOffice certified and provides a scaleable solution with parallel, concurrent processing, and load-balancing over multiple servers as well as performance monitoring.
Replic-Action is available in development and production versions. The Development Server is for development of replication applications in a test environment without interrupting production applications. The Production Server runs applications with production databases on a scheduled basis.
The Development Server is priced at $1,500 and the Production Server costs $10,000. There is no client license or per-seat cost. Both are available from Casahl or through 200 business partners and Value Added Resellers Worldwide. The Replic-Action Composer and Server Manager come bundled in both server configurations.
