Lockheed Martin ACC Selects Information Advantage as OLAP Provider for Data Warehouse EXPRESSway Program

Business Wire, August 26, 1997

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 26, 1997--Lockheed Martin Advanced Concepts Center(TM) (ACC(TM)) announced Tuesday that it has added DecisionSuite(TM) and DecisionCenter(TM) from Information Advantage, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise on-line analytical processing (OLAP) software, to the portfolio of products and services available to its clients through the ACCs Data Warehouse EXPRESSway(TM) program.

Based on the ACCs experience in designing and implementing some of the worlds largest database structures and data warehouse solutions, Data Warehouse EXPRESSway assists organizations with their data warehousing initiatives by helping the enterprise in developing a proof-of-concept demonstration, preparing a long-range data warehousing strategy, and providing knowledge-transfer training for internal staff.

For clients participating in the EXPRESSway program, DecisionSuite and DecisionCenter from Information Advantage will provide the software and a hands-on workshop to rapidly prototype data warehousing solutions.

DecisionCenter provides the level of hands-on experience that the ACC strives to deliver to our EXPRESSway clients. In addition to enabling rapid delivery of a working prototype, DecisionCenter provides an interactive development and knowledge-transfer environment, pointed out Kevin Boettcher, director of strategic partnerships for the ACC.

The Information Advantage environment, product line, and knowledgeable staff meet the exacting criteria established for all Data Warehouse EXPRESSway offerings.

As OLAP applications become more complex and deployed enterprise-wide, education has become a critical factor for success, said Mary Trick, vice president of client services at Information Advantage. The strength of the Data Warehouse EXPRESSway offering lies in its focus on mentoring and training.

DecisionCenter provides an environment for companies to both continue their OLAP and data warehousing application and test those concepts that they have already learned.
