Steelcase Inc. and Tate Access Floors Form Marketing Alliance

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich/JESSUP, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 5, 1997-- Steelcase Inc. and Jessup, Md.-based Tate Access Floors have finalized an agreement to form a marketing alliance. "This affiliation of the two companies adds another component to Steelcase and its dealers' ability to provide total interior space solutions to customers," emphasized Bob Black, Steelcase vice president of marketing.
"This alliance will also create opportunities for future innovation by integrating our knowledge of the workplace with Tate's expertise in raised floors," added Black, "resulting in valuable new products becoming available to our customers."

Tate Access Floors, founded in 1963, is the world's leading supplier of raised floors for commercial facilities. Tate employs 400 people and has worldwide operations, including manufacturing facilities in Jessup; Red Lion, Pa.; and Europe.
