MEDIAX SIGNS COMPUSA AND COMPUTER CITY TO RETAIL MARKETING FOR "PETER NORTON — PC GURU"; Company Releases "PC Guru" Goldmaster To Manufacturing

CULVER CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--December 8, 1997--MediaX Corporation (OTC: MXMX) today announced it has signed retail marketing commitments for "Peter Norton -- PC Guru" including CompUSA (NYSE: CPU) and Computer City (a division of Tandy (NYSE: TAN)), two of the world's largest mass market software retailers.
Additionally, the Company reported it had released the completed goldmaster disk of "Peter Norton -- PC Guru" to manufacturing and anticipated its first shipments to retail will commence later this month. As had been indicated in the Company's November 12 third quarter news release, MediaX today reported that is was in the process of signing other major retail and distribution contracts.
A major product launch for "Peter Norton -- PC Guru" will begin later this month and accelerate through the first calendar quarter of 1998 to include a tour of key print and broadcast media; direct marketing; coop and joint marketing with other software publishers, hardware manufacturers, retailers; online marketing, print and broadcast advertising; and various other public relations activities which will be reported in the weeks ahead.
Featuring Peter Norton narration and video clips, "Peter Norton -- PC Guru" is an interactive, multimedia CD-ROM that shows novice and experienced PC users how to better understand and tap into the strengths of the personal computer to simplify and enhance life at home and work. This infotainment program will incorporate state-of-the-art new media technology, user support, trial and full versions of many of today's leading software programs, and other information provided to the CD-ROM owners via hundreds of hot links to active third-party Internet web sites that provide new/trial software, upgrades, computer technology information and more.
