Business Wire, Feb 11, 1997
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 12, 1997--
LiveModel Selected for New R/3 Model-Based Implementation Paradigm
IntelliCorp, Inc. (Nasdaq:INAI), a leading provider of business modeling software for enterprise applications, today announced business alliances with six consulting firms to add LiveModel: SAP R/3 Edition to their SAP implementation methodologies.
These partners -- Kurt Salmon Associates (KSA), Optimum Consulting America (OCA), Software Consulting Partners (SCP), Software Consulting Services (SCS), Whittman-Hart, Inc., and Intelligroup, Inc.-- will work closely with IntelliCorp to incorporate SAP's new paradigm, model-based implementation, into their SAP practice.
These alliances will facilitate rapid implementation of the SAP R/3 system by adding the advantages of business modeling -- user comprehension, early user validation, early user training and ease of upgrading -- to each consulting firms's own industry expertise.
LiveModel accelerates R/3 implementation by enabling business users to better understand the R/3 system and to articulate their business requirements. LiveModel reduces design errors and time spent during the analysis and design phase of an implementation. Decisions made during the design and implementation are stored within LiveModel as a permanent record of the implementation. Putting this tool into the hands of industry experts such as these consulting firms will result in cost-effective SAP installations.
Steve Garone, Research Manager for Object Tools at International Data Corporation, said, "By using LiveModel as an integral part of their implementation methodology, these industry experts are validating the need for tools that can be used throughout the implementation and beyond. These six firms are proving the need for a tool that not only accelerates the implementation of R/3, but also reduces costly design errors and provides a road map for modifications and upgrades."
Ken Haas, IntelliCorp's president stated, "These are six great partners for IntelliCorp. Each offers a different area of expertise and each says that LiveModel is the tool that will make them more successful in the SAP R/3 implementation market. We look forward to working with them to ensure their success in rapid, cost-effective, business-driven implementations."
