Business Wire, Feb 19, 1997
SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 19, 1997--EveryWare Development Corp. (ALBERTA STOCK EXCHANGE:EVY) today announced the latest version of Tango, their very powerful, easy-to-use Web-based application development tool.
With this latest version, EveryWare provides the smoothest ever Web/database integration for Microsoft's Access database servers. Tango for Access will be available mid-March for download only on EveryWare's Web site at http://www.everyware.com/ priced at $199.
Tango is a Web application development tool that has been shipping since November 1995. Tango for Access is a standards-based development environment, supporting NSAPI, ISAPI and CGIs. The visual development environment enables both novice and experienced webmasters alike to develop Web-based applications that interact with database servers.
Tango for Access can be used to develop many different Web-based applications from on-line commerce, banking applications and investment Web sites to corporate directories, conferencing systems, and product and catalog searches.
Leveraging its popular visual editor, EveryWare is providing Web developers, utilizing Microsoft's Access database servers, with a cost-effective, yet very powerful, Web development tool. Once novice Web developers begin to increase the complexity of their Web-based applications, Tango is there to grow with them.
EveryWare also ships Tango Enterprise, a cross-platform version that integrates high-end databases like Oracle, Sybase, Informix, SQL Server, etc. The applications developed in Tango for Access can easily scale to work with these high-end database servers. -0- Tango for Access Features

Tango enables developers to visually develop Web-based applications without having to write scripting languages. Developers do not have to know Java, JavaScript, SQL, Perl, or C/C to begin developing complex, highly scaleable applications.
For those developers who like to write code, Tango provides an interface to write custom SQL or to integrate their Tango applications with applications written in C/C utilizing DLLs, AppleEvents, etc.
"Tango for Access fills a large void in today's marketplace," said Dan McKenzie, president EveryWare Development Corp. "Web developers can use Tango for Access either to design simplistic sites that have future potential for growth, or use the product as a prototyping tool for large scale projects.
"The applications that are written are completely cross-platform and can change back-end databases without having to rework or recode. These features along with the point-and-click ease of use will provide Web developers with a cost effective solution."
Tango for Access will be available online at EveryWare's Web site: http://www.everyware.com/ mid-March for $199. If you would like more information about Tango for Access or Tango Enterprise call toll-free 888/819-2500, or email info@everyware.com .
