The Monster Board Selects Verity's Search'97 Platform for Web-Based Career Site; Enables Job Seekers Quick and Accurate Searches Within Premier Career Center on the Web

FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 19, 1997--Monster Board today announced it has selected Verity Inc., (NASDAQ:VRTY), a leading provider of search and retrieval applications for the enterprise and Internet, to provide the search and retrieval technology for its on-line career site.
The Monster Board web site, located at www.monster.com, provides an extensive on-line career database and wide range of services that allow recruiters and job seekers to webcast job opportunities, post resumes, research companies, and locate career opportunities.
The Monster Board used Verity's SEARCH'97 Developer Kit to develop the search and indexing engine that met their specific requirements. The Verity search technology enables job seekers to quickly locate opportunities within selected locations or industries. Users send resumes to The Monster Board's "Resume City", which are full-text indexed and searchable by recruiters.
Likewise, companies can post job listings, which are also full-text indexed and searchable by prospective job candidates. In addition, The Monster Board also provides Employer Profiles which enable users to research over 4,000 leading corporations worldwide.
