Business Wire, Feb 7, 1997
HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 7, 1997--Epson, a leading manufacturer of quality POS printers and intelligent peripherals, announced an Authorized Master Solution Provider Partnership with Systech Retail Systems Inc. at the MarkeTechnics show Friday.
Epson has partnered with Systech for the sale of Epson's full line of IT, TM and Interface POS products as well as product services such as installation, project management, depot and onsite service for equipment.
"Epson is committed to providing retailers with cost-effective systems that meet their open architecture requirements for complete compatibility," said Bud Weist, Epson business unit director. "Systech shares this open architecture philosophy and has partnered with Epson to provide retailers with state-of-the-art POS systems.
"Additionally, Systech tailors its service and support programs to meet the individual needs of retailers," Weist continued. "This not only reduces retailers' overall system costs, but enables them to purchase Epson products while capitalizing on Systech's 24-hour, 7-day-per-week service programs."
Systech has developed an extensive cross-industry knowledge of POS products and their compatibility. "By creating a system based on Epson's open architecture peripherals, we can give retailers flexibility in the way they process and print POS data. We plan to further enhance this flexibility through our offering of Open Field POS software," said Kirk McCormick, vice president, retail group.
"Retailers can enjoy a lower cost of ownership not only by extending the useful life of existing equipment but also through our custom leasing programs."
