Seer and EDS announce five-year worldwide software license agreement; Seer products to support major EDS manufacturing customer

CARY, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 14, 1997--Seer Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:SEER), a leading provider of client/server application development technology and services, announced today that EDS, a leader in the global information services industry, recently signed a five-year software license agreement giving EDS the right to use, on a worldwide basis, NetEssential as a stand-alone middleware toolset and Seer-HPS in the Windows NT and OS/2 environments.
EDS will also have use of the Seer security products. All of these products together encompass the majority of the Seer suite of products.
The licensed software will be used in support of a major EDS manufacturing customer. The terms of the agreement include immediate access to a copy limit of several thousand licenses, with options to purchase additional licenses on a discounted basis.
