Rosser named to head Oklahoma City's KOCO

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 22, 1997--Jeff Rosser has been appointed the interim general manager of KOCO-TV, the ABC affiliate in Oklahoma City.
The announcement was made Wednesday by Blake Byrne, president and chief operating officer of Argyle Television Inc. (NASDAQ/NMS:ARGL). Argyle will acquire KOCO, along with WLWT-TV, the NBC affiliate in Cincinnati, through a previously announced swap agreement with Gannett Co. Inc.
Lawrence P. Herbster, KOCO's current general manager, will remain with the Gannett organization and become the general manager of WGRZ-TV in Buffalo, N.Y., one of the two stations that Gannett will receive in the swap with Argyle.

Rosser will continue in his duties as president and general manager of KHBS-TV, the Argyle-owned ABC affiliate in Fort Smith, Ark., and its satellite, KHOG-TV, in Fayetteville, Ark.
A veteran television executive, Rosser has been with Argyle Television companies since 1993, and has served as president and general manager of Argyle's Fox-affiliated WNAC-TV in Providence, R.I., and as president and general manager of KDFW-TV, the CBS affiliate in Dallas, that was owned by the Argyle predecessor company, Argyle Television Holding Inc.
Prior to his tenure with Argyle Television, Rosser held general management jobs in Dallas and Birmingham, Ala., and news management positions in Boston; New York; and Tulsa, Okla.
A native of Texas, Rosser holds a degree in communications from Brigham Young University. He has been active in various broadcast industry organizations, including serving on the board of the Texas Broadcasters Association.
In 1992, Rosser was honored with the AWRT Excellence in Broadcast Management award from the Dallas/Fort Worth regional chapter. In addition, he has served with various community organizations, among them the Urban League of Dallas, the Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation and the Children's Medical Center Foundation of Dallas.

Today, Argyle Television owns and operates network-affiliated television stations WZZM-TV, the ABC affiliate in Grand Rapids, Mich.; WGRZ-TV, the NBC affiliate in Buffalo; WNAC-TV, the Fox affiliate in Providence; KITV-TV, the ABC affiliate in Honolulu; WAPT-TV, the ABC affiliate in Jackson, Miss.; and KHBS-TV, the ABC affiliate in Fort Smith, and its satellite, KHOG-TV, the ABC affiliate in Fayetteville.
