TSI International Software names Jeffrey Smith director of telesales; Executive from MCI to lead TSI's telesales organization

WILTON, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 28, 1997--TSI International Software, the leader in the fast-growing market for business application linking products, today announced that Jeffrey A. Smith has been named Director of Telesales. Smith joins TSI during a time of dynamic growth to support TSI's new products and growing strength in the data integration and business application linking markets. As director of telesales, Smith is responsible for the telesales effort in the EDI, electronic commerce and data integration arena. Smith is also responsible for overseeing TSI's relationship with more than 100 value added resellers.

Smith has more than a decade of sales leadership experience. Most recently, he managed the inside sales process for networkMCI Conferencing as the national conferencing account development specialist manager. During Smith's tenure, his sales team exceeded goals by 50%. Prior to this position, he managed the outside sales strategy for Paging Network Inc., America's largest paging company. Smith has held sales positions at Darome Teleconferencing and Americall Corporation.
A graduate of Northern Illinois University, Smith is based in TSI's Bannockburn, Illinois office.
