Rainbow and Corel sign licensing agreement; Corel to enhance software products with SentinelLM License Manager

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 8, 1997--Rainbow Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:RNBO) has signed a licensing agreement with Canadian-based Corel Corp., one of the world's leading software publishers.
The agreement is for the Windows version of Rainbow's SentinelLM License Manager. This software product enables Corel to provide innovative distribution methods to its customers, while preventing unlicensed use of its products.

The SentinelLM License Manager allows Corel to securely distribute full copies of its leading software products on diskette, CD-ROM or via the Internet. Users have access to a full running product demonstration for a limited amount of time. A variety of purchase options are available to the user.
Rainbow's SentinelLM technology will be used initially on Corel's bundled products and Office Professional Suite which features WordPerfect, Quattro Pro and Corel Draw.
