-- Edward Blank Associates, LEXI International Gain Seasoned CFO

with Experience at Northern Telecom, Frito Lay and Unisys --

Thayer Capital today named Eric Croson Chief Financial Officer for its two teleservices companies, Edward Blank Associates and LEXI International. Croson joins Thayer from Thomas Group Inc., where he served as president and managing director of that management services company's European Business Unit, based in Frankfurt, Germany, and where he had earlier held the post of CFO at the parent corporation.

"Eric Croson contributes a unique blend of financial management expertise and entrepreneurial flair to Thayer's task of developing and integrating our recently acquired investments in the teleservices industry," said Dr. Paul Stern, one of Thayer's three principals, in commenting on Croson's appointment. "Eric played a key role in managing the rapid growth of Thomas Group following its initial public offering. That expertise, coupled with his more than two decades in positions of financial analysis, planning and responsibility at such major corporations as Northern Telecom, Frito Lay, and Unisys, makes him ideally suited to the task at hand," Dr. Stern concluded.

Mr. Croson is a 1970 graduate of Purdue University, and received an MBA in Marketing/Finance from Indiana University. He and his wife are relocating from Germany to the United States.

Thayer Capital Partners is a private equity investment firm based in Washington DC. Thayer manages Thayer Equity Investors III, which last year raised over $364 million to pursue investments in information services, telecommunications equipment and services, travel and leisure services, and consumer products.
