Litton's PRC Wins Two Major Contracts From The Army And The Defense Supply Services

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 7, 1997--Litton's (NYSE:LIT) PRC subsidiary has won two major IDIQ (indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity) contracts.

The first, a 10-year, firm, fixed price, multiple-award IDIQ, $100 million contract was awarded to PRC by the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command (CECOM).

The contract for the Army's digital Switched System Modernization Program (DSSMP) calls for PRC to support global switch system modernization for the Army and other DoD and Federal agencies by providing integrated voice and data communications system solutions to Army installations and activities worldwide as well as modernizing legacy systems to seamlessly integrate voice and data communications into a single integrated telecommunications system.

The second multiple award IDIQ contract was awarded to PRC by Defense Supply Services-Washington (DSS-W) on behalf of the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence (OSDC3I). This five-year, cost plus fixed fee, $200 million contract calls for PRC to provide strategic planning services; enterprise development and modeling; business process reengineering tools and training services; functional process improvement and business rule development; requirements prototyping and measurement; and advisory and assistance services to a global community of interest.
