Business Wire, July 8, 1997
SOMERS, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 8, 1997--IBM today announced MQSeries for Windows V2.1, providing secure messaging capabilities for Windows 95(b) and Windows NT(b) workstations. Now users can have business-quality messaging capabilities available to them without the need for continuous on-line connections.
MQSeries V2.1 removes the need for both dial-up wireless and wired connections while providing flexibility, reliability and asynchronous delivery -- hallmarks of the MQSeries(a) family of products. It also includes powerful message queue manager functionality that enables it to be used on a workstation that is not immediately able to upload or download host or server data. LAN Support is provided on the 32-bit platforms of Microsoft Windows NT and Windows 95, with support for Windows 3.1 and WIN-OS/2 already available.
