NEVADA CITY, Calif--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 9, 1997--TDK Systems, Inc., the global technology leader in PC Cards, presents the new CyberExpress(TM) 5600, a high performance 56K fax/modem PC Card that features Rockwell's renowned K56flex technology to enable users to explore the Internet at nearly twice the speed of standard V.34 modems.
The flagship in a complete line of award-winning, PC Card modems from TDK, the CyberExpress 5600 also includes TDK's patented UltraPort(TM) technology for enhanced throughput of up to 250 Kbps, and incorporates flash memory for easy upgrades to future 56K communications standards as well.
It operates at K56flex speeds when downloading data from a similarly equipped Internet or intranet server, plus it supports enhanced V.34 (33.6 Kbps) data for "upstream" operations, and also includes standard 14.4 Kbps fax, data compression and error correction features.
