Superior Propane Income Fund - Cash Distribution for the Period from April 1, 1997 to June 30, 1997 - $0.26 per Trust Unit

CALGARY, Alberta--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 10, 1997--Superior Propane Inc(TSE SPF.UN. ) The trustees of the Superior Propane Income Fund (the "Fund") declared a cash distribution for the period of April 1, 1997 to June 30, 1997 of $0.26 (twenty-six cents) per trust unit payable on July 15, 1997 to unitholders of record at the close of business on June 30, 1997. This distribution is in line with the 1997 forecast that was included in the Fund's initial public offering prospectus.
For income tax purposes, the income from the cash distribution of $0.26 per trust unit will be considered to be:
- a return of capital of $0.03 per trust unit
- other income of $0.23 per trust unit
The return of capital amount of $0.03 per trust unit pertains to the pass through of issue costs incurred by the Fund as part of its initial public offering.
