ENGAGE to Offer Popular Games Exclusively Through WorldPlay Entertainment on America Online; Highly Recognized Online Multiplayer Games Provider Now to Feature Its AOL Games Channel Selection Through WorldPlay

BURLINGAME, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 17, 1997--WorldPlay Entertainment(TM), the leading social entertainment and online games company, today announced that it has signed an agreement with ENGAGE games online(SM) to exclusively feature selections of its most popular titles on the AOL Games Channel.

ENGAGE is widely recognized for offering some of the most popular multiplayer games in the world and certain games have been featured on the AOL Games Channel since last summer.

As part of WorldPlay, new ENGAGE games will be offered on the AOL Games Channel (AOL/Keyword:WorldPlay) in July, and will cost AOL subscribers $1.99 per hour in addition to their current billing plan.

Five ENGAGE titles go live on WorldPlay in July with additional games to be announced on an ongoing basis. The initial five are:

Castles II(TM): Seige and Conquest -- A strategy game set in 14th century France designed to test your skills as an administrator, a military leader and a politician. Your mission is to unite territories, gain enough power and prestige and eventually become the king.

Rolemaster: Magestorm(TM) -- Based on the popular Rolemaster role-playing system, players battle for control over a magical essence that provides the source of immense power. Played in a rich 3-D environment offering multiple arenas.

SplatterBall(TM) -- Paintball online! With a cartoon interface and special sound effects ("Aw man!" when a player is splattered), this 3-D action game is perfect for kids as well as adults. Person-to-person action with up to 20 people in a match. "Watch your back!"

Virtual Pool(TM) -- Ready for some 8 Ball, or maybe some Snooker? "Walk" around the table to check out your next shot, line up the shot as you would in real pool! Check out the different "pool halls" with unique atmospheres.

Warcraft(R) II: Tides of Darkness One of the most popular games ever created. Find yourself in a combat/strategy game in which you harvest resources, build armies and try to conquer other players. Each player can create an individual scenario.

ENGAGE will be featured along with a wide range of current and future WorldPlay offerings at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Atlanta, June 19-21, 1997, in the WorldPlay Entertainment booth (no. 462), at the Georgia World Congress Center.
