Customer Sports opens first ''pro shop''

DEL MAR, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 18, 1997--Customer Sports Inc. (Nasdaq/EBB:CTMR) announced the opening of the first golf ``pro shop'' operated by its wholly owned subsidiary, Back Nine Golf.
The ``pro shop,'' which will have its grand opening this weekend, is located at the Super Sports Driving Range in the city of Orange, Calif. The company's ``pro shop'' retail stores are known as Back Nine Clubhouses.
Back Nine Golf operates ``pro shops'' at golf driving ranges, where it features innovative equipment from manufacturers that have difficulty in obtaining shelf space at traditional golf stores. In addition, the ``pro shops'' offer close-outs of name-brand equipment, clothing and accessories.
Customers of Back Nine Golf are invited to join the Back Nine Golf Club, which offers them information, member benefits, frequent- shopper programs, etc. By developing an ongoing relationship with its members, Back Nine Golf is positioned to be highly responsive to their needs and desires, transforming the golf shopping experience from a transaction to a relationship that can endure over time.
