Big Hand energizes EDS Sports Marketing presentation
Business Wire, June 19, 1997
DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 19, 1997--Multimedia producer, Big Hand Inc., today announced the completion of "EDS Global Sports Marketing," a high-energy multimedia presentation which highlights the sponsorship capabilities of the multi-billion dollar information technology giant.
EDS Global Sports, the sports sponsorship division of EDS, will equip their entire marketing force, installing the program on portable laptop computers.
Using high-impact, multi-layered animation and graphics, live MPEG video windows, a techno soundtrack and MTV-style transitions, Big Hand's team of designers and programmers successfully transformed existing EDS collateral into a cohesive, effective selling tool. Assets included a linear Power Point "slide show" presentation consisting of 100 "click-through" informational slides, corporate brochures and marketing videos. The built-in flexibility of the program will allow EDS marketers to create new slides in Power Point or Persuasion and swap out slides on the fly, creating custom presentations for prospective clients.
A preliminary version was unveiled in March at the IEG Event Marketing Conference in Chicago with over a thousand of the nation's top corporate marketers in attendance. The program was the centerpiece of Director of EDS Sports Marketing, Nick Chenowth's presentation. Chenowth interacted with a fully animated character as he guided the audience through the internal processes of EDS sponsorships and critical business strategies for competing in a global market.
The program provides visual support for 15 to 30 minutes of speaker-directed presentation and runs off of an internal hard drive. Because Global Sports uses the Hewlett Packard Omni Book exclusively for client presentations, Big Hand programmers optimized the program specifications specifically for this model.
Possible program enhancements slated for later this year include multiple language versions and web site connectivity. -0-
