DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 10, 1997--Establishing themselves as the industry's leading source of advanced video communications (videocom) hardware for the Internet and corporate intranets, MultiMedia Access Corporation (NASDAQ: MMAC) today announced its Osprey family of video communications (videocom) products that enable popular Web site, Internet and intranet video applications such as those from industry leaders Precept Software, Progressive Networks, White Pine and Vosaic.
The Osprey family of products provides one of the most comprehensive lines of videocom hardware, supporting all three dominant Internet & intranet platforms: Windows NT, & Windows 95 PCs and SUN Computers.
In addition to producing the hardware and associated drivers, MMAC is working closely with software developers to ensure the broadest possible range of functionality and application support for the products. Included among the supported Internet/intranet software applications are video publishing, video broadcasting, web image capture and videoconferencing.
