Graphix Zone appoints new top executive officers; David Hirschhorn, CEO, Robert Shishino, CFO

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 18, 1997--Graphix Zone (NASDAQ:GZON) Tuesday announced the appointment of David Hirschhorn as co-chairman and CEO and Robert Shishino as vice president and CFO.
"David Hirschhorn has been instrumental for the past two years in all of Graphix Zone's acquisition and merger activities and strategic planning," said Ron Posner, co-chairman of Graphix Zone. "David's deal-making background in the entertainment industry and overall management skills will be critical for Graphix Zone's success as the company moves forward."

Prior to joining Graphix Zone as co-chairman and CEO, Hirschhorn was a managing director in the Corporate Finance Group of Cruttenden Roth, specializing in entertainment and new media transactions. Before joining Cruttenden, Hirschhorn was with Nikko Securities Co. International Inc. in New York as a member of the capital markets group.
Prior to Nikko, Hirschhorn also worked as a consultant for Deloitte and Touche in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group and as an analyst for KPMG Peat Marwick.
Before joining Graphix Zone as vice president and CFO, Shishino was director of business administration for Nextel Communications Inc. Prior to his tenure at Nextel, Shishino was director of finance for Control Data Systems Inc., a $550 million Systems integrator (formerly Evernet Systems Inc.).
Prior to the Control Data Systems acquisition of Evernet Systems, Shishino was vice president of finance for Evernet Systems. Before Evernet, Shishino also worked as controller for Dynasty Classics Corp. and senior accountant for Coopers & Lybrand.
Based in Irvine, Graphix Zone publishes interactive multimedia products on CD-ROM, hybrid and Internet platforms and will publish on future platforms such as DVD.
