Quality Dining, Inc. Responds To Shareholder Filing

MISHAWAKA, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 19, 1997--In response to a 13D Statement filed yesterday by two of its former Directors, Quality Dining, Inc. (Nasdaq/NM:QDIN) said it was disappointed that its former Directors apparently disagree with the comprehensive strategic business plan which has been approved and adopted by the Company's Board of Directors and management. Quality Dining further said it was surprised by the filers' statement that they may propose nominees for Board seats in light of their resignations from the Board only last month.

Many initiatives are currently underway in all of the Company's restaurant concepts, including Bruegger's, which are designed to grow the Company's business and enhance shareholder value. The Company will continue to aggressively pursue its strategic plan, and welcomes constructive input from all of its franchisees and shareholders.
