FIRSTPLUS Financial commences trading under new Nasdaq ticker symbol

DALLAS, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 7, 1997--FIRSTPLUS Financial Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: FPFG) today announced that its common stock will commence trading on the Nasdaq National Market under its new ticker symbol of FPFG. The symbol change occurs in conjunction with the Company's name change from RAC Financial Group, Inc. to FIRSTPLUS Financial Group, Inc. The Company's shares previously traded on the Nasdaq National Market under the ticker symbol RACF.

FIRSTPLUS is a specialized consumer finance company that, through its subsidiaries, originates, purchases, services and securitizes consumer finance receivables, primarily home improvement loans, all secured by liens on the borrower's home. FIRSTPLUS, headquartered in Dallas, has regional offices in Denver, Colorado; Holly Springs, Mississippi and Columbia, South Carolina, and a network of origination branches nationwide.
