Epson lowers prices on the ActionScanning System II and ES-1000C; new software to maximize Epson performance

TORRANCE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 20, 1997--Epson, the creator of high-quality, award-winning imaging products, Tuesday announced new prices for two of its color flatbed scanners.

The easy-to-use ActionScanning System II, which includes the award-winning ``Look Your Best Color Pak'' and ``Internet Sampler Pak'' software, is now available for $299 (street price). Epson's midrange business scanner, the ES-1000C, now sells for $499 (street price).

Personal Copy Module

Personal Copy is a new software module that was developed by Epson experts to perfectly match color characteristics between its input/output devices. Extending ease of use beyond the scanning function, these scanners are calibrated to work with virtually all computers and printers, but Personal Copy provides special support for Epson color ink-jet printers.
