Enterprise/Integrator Transforms Data for NCCI State
Bureau Compliance Reports
Apertus Technologies Incorporated (NASDAQ: APTS) and the National Council on Compensation Insurance, Inc. (NCCI) announced today the use of Apertus' Enterprise/Integrator to map and transform NCCI customer data for their new data collection processing system. Enterprise/Integrator is a comprehensive data transformation and integration tool specifically designed to make data accessible and provide information in a new format specific to changing business requirements.
"To ensure success in providing this new reporting service, NCCI needed a solution that would streamline initial development, provide re-use of initial development investment, be easy to maintain, and store information about the data being accessed and transformed," said Jim DeCesari, Senior Vice President, Data Collection Processing System at NCCI. "Apertus Technologies' Enterprise/Integrator was selected as an integral part of the overall solution after a very structured proof-of-technology that included evaluation of competitive alternatives."
Enterprise/Integrator provides sophisticated mapping capabilities which restructure and reformat customer data into the NCCI data warehouse format. Because this resulting view of the data is radically different from the source view, complex transformations are required from Enterprise/Integrator to populate the target database. In addition, the reusable business rules that were defined allow new sources of customer data and other updates to be easily managed. Apertus Professional Services complimented the technology offering by teaming with NCCI to ensure the success criteria were met.
"We are very excited about our working relationship with NCCI and their success in providing new services to their customers," said Robert Gordon, president, chairman, and chief executive officer of Apertus Technologies. "Our extensive expertise in the implementation of data transformation technology enables us to deliver a sophisticated solution to a critical business problem."
